The spectacular Ocean Beach
runs the entire 3 mile length of Green Turtle Cay and is just a 7 to 10
minute walk from the main Club Complex. It is a favorite for beachcombers

Coco Bay, a 5 minute walk
from the main Club Complex, offers tranquil and shallow waters, and is a
popular spot to take the children or for the beginning snorkeller to get
started. It is also an area for finding bonefish.
Gillam Bay, located at the
southern end of the island, is popular for it's bonefishing and beach
combing.
The Club Beach, located on
the harbor of White Sound and directly adjacent to the main Club Complex, is

Breakfast and lunch are
served on the covered and screened patio overlooking the scenic harbor. At
dinner guests are offered a choice of seating at two different locations,
either the elegant main dining or the more casual outdoor harbor side
restaurant. Reservations must be made by 5:00 p.m. with one seating at 7:30
p.m. A pre-diner cocktail hour is held nightly at the Pub style bar from
6:30 to 7:30 with complimentary hors d'oeuvre, and is an ideal time to meet
old and new friends. Board games are available and a log fire is lit on
cool winter evenings.
The evening menu offers
excellent World/Caribbean cuisine with imaginative use of local seafood

The Yacht Club Pub,
decorated with club burgees left by visiting yachtsman from around the
world, is headquarters for most social activities. The walls have been
covered in autographed dollar bills, a tradition which was started over 35
years ago when retired World War II fighter pilots would hang signed bills
as a token for future visiting friends to have a drink on them. Among the
many celebrities and politicians who have visited the Club, a special place
has been set aside for the signed dollar bill of former President Jimmy
Carter as a remembrance of his stay at the resort.
The Club speciality, the
Tipsy Turtle Rum Punch, was chosen by Esquire Magazine as the best rum punch
in all the Caribbean. The Club features a variety of local live music with
musicians and bands from mainland Abaco coming over for the night. On
Wednesday nights the Club plays host to "the number one band in the nation",
Green Turtle Cay's Gully Roosters Band. The "Roosters" perform under the
stars and guarantee to have you dancing with original songs and the latest
hits from the Caribbean and Bahamas.

The flats are home to the
elusive bonefish. Abaco has become renowned for large bonefish with fish of
9 to 12 pounds a common occurrence. A world record bonefish, 17 lb 2 oz, was
caught in Abaco in 1999 by visiting fisherman Lazaros Vostitsanos of Tarpon
Springs, Florida, using 8 lb line and light spinning tackle.
There have been numerous
sightings by Green Turtle Guides and guests of possibly an even larger
bonefish lurking at adjacent and uninhabited Manjack Cay. The elusive fish
has become the dinner table topic of conversation on many nights at the
Green Turtle Club.

snapper is excellent for those wishing to fish the reefs. After 45 years of

customers coming back year after year with his colorful fishing tales and
knowledge of all the great fishing spots.
A wide variety of options
are offered to anglers. Big Game fishing for billfish can be found just a
few miles off shore. A 1035 lb. blue marlin was caught in 1998 in one of the
many Abaco tournaments held annually each spring.
The offshore fishing of Abaco attracts many of
the top billfish
anglers from North America.
Dolphin and Wahoo are
abundant in the deep waters just beyond the reefs.
